The real challenge, the Marathon route. Unique in Europe, fascinating, hard, fun, exciting. A continuous succession of sudden changes of scenery, from the millenary pinewood to the lunar landscapes without vegetation, from the steep climbs that make you put your foot on the ground to the single track descents to “drive” carefully.
There are four important climbs: the first one to Serra Buffa with the famous 20% basolato, the second and longest that leads to the Piano Provenzana hillside at 1,820 metres, the third and most arched towards the Timparossa Refuge and the fourth, the ascent towards Serra Buffa. Then comes the beautiful and now famous final single track: the Kamikaze! But it’s not over yet. A last 2 km long climb with important slopes will bring the participants to overlook the majestic Valle del Bove, all the effort will be rewarded by this natural spectacle of rare beauty. It ends with a 6 km descent that leads to the finish line in Milo.
